Cliff Horses

This is a relatively new composition, merging a photo of group photo of horses greeting each other with a rock and lichen image. I'm happy with the way this one has evolved. It is available for sale in a variety of sizes and finishes (everything from photo paper to canvas or metal) on my new
Fine Art America website. Look in the "Horses" gallery.

From the archives

I recently had an order for a print of this image, "Impressionist leaves and water" from a friend who was checking out my website. This is an older image that I had forgotten about, and I'm not always happy to revisit some of my earlier Photoshop efforts, but I still like this one and was glad to remake its acquaintance. Much of what is on my website at present does not reflect my current work or directions, and a serious overhaul is in order. Stay tuned, but don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen!

Wide Awake

Here's one version of a new one I'm working on. I have a couple of other directions that are similar but different, whatever that means. This makes extensive use of my collection of vintage Victorian and Edwardian era graphics, with only the raven and the insects having been generated by my camera.  It has a vaguely Steampunk feel, or at least gives a nod in that direction, which in my world these days is a good thing.

Beauty of the night

This is one version of a new set of images in progress. I find the symbolism of white and/or dark creatures (mostly birds and horses in my work) functions well on both a symbolic and a visual level.

Echoes of the past

I come across a lot of abandoned buildings and farmsteads in my wanderings around the countryside, and have always felt the need to preserve the images of this part of the prairie heritage. Each of these old structures has a story to tell-----

Raven art

I have a serious case of crow and raven obsession, which manifests itself frequently in my art images. This is a new photomontage I created last week. As with all my photo/computer based images, it is available in a variety of sizes and formats.

Golden fields

I learned how to do panorama shots earlier this year, and every so often I remember that it's an option and shoot accordingly. This one is made up of seven individual shots. Works really well for images such as this when you want to capture an interesting sky. This was taken just a couple of weeks ago before the snow was really serious. All that nice gold stubble is covered now.
