Determination

Before I became immersed in photography and digital rearranging of images, I was a glass artist for many years. I still have a few glass mosaics on hand, and am now selectively moving them on to new homes.
This is one I am donating for a fund-raiser (live auction portion) for the Street Cat Rescue/New Hope Dog Rescue gala, which will be held in Saskatoon tomorrow evening. It's a large-ish one, measuring over a meter/yard in length.

Graffiti horse

I started taking photos of some graffiti I was encountering on a regular basis in my neighbourhood and farther afield, particularly the "trust" ones which are ubiquitous once you start noticing them. I wanted to do some images with graffiti elements, and somehow horses and crows got in there as well. This is one of a series I am working on. I should have a few of them at the upcoming show/sale at Agar's Corner this Saturday (September 24th). Check my "regular" blog http://judywoodartphotography.blogspot.com for details on the show.

Another one--

Another silhouette shot, this one a bit more dramatic. I was at the RaeDawn Arabians "Arabian Nights" evening last night, and this was one of several shots that I was happy with for the contrast and drama. The horse featured here is their champion stallion, Bey Ambition with trainer/handler Claudinei Machado.

Hot evening. Went to the barn after supper to turn my horse out for a run, too hot for me to ride. I caught this shot of the young barn man finishing up with one of the horses he is training. I do love my west door fall silhouette photo ops!
